Guangzhou is an international and a modern city. You can arrive in Guangzhou by direct flights to the Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport from many countries around the world. You may also enter Guangzhou though other cities, such as Beijing, Shanghai and Hong Kong.

It takes approximately 40 minutes from the Baiyun International Airport to the campus of SCNU.

We will have a shuttle bus waiting for you at the exit of the Baiyun International Airport on the day (April. 7) of registration, Please let us know in advance of your arrival time and flight number. Please look for the SCNU sign in the arrival hall of the airport.

You can also take a taxi directly from the airport to the Huashi Yuehai Hotel at the campus. It costs about ¥ 120 yuan plus ¥ 30 yuan of toll fee.

You can take an airport Express 2B (right outside of the arrival hall of the airport) to the university. The bus is from the airport to the final stop Yu Tong Hotel and costs ¥ 22 yuan. It will take about 1 hour to the final stop. We will have staff waiting at the Guang Yun Lou to pick you up and bring you to the campus, which takes only 5 minutes.

If you enter Guangzhou through Hong Kong, you can:

• take a short connection flight (about 35 minutes) from Hong Kong to Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport;

• or take a train from Hong Kong Kowloon Train Station to Guangzhou East Train Station. There are more than 10 departures per day. The trip will take about 1 hour 40 minutes to Guangzhou. The fare is between $180-$230 (HK$) depending on the schedules and seats. Please check the schedule and price for the train tickets (http://www.it3.kcrc.com/B2C/frmIndex.asp?strLang=Eng). From the Guangzhou East Train Station, you can take a taxi directly to the Huashi Yuehai Hotel at the campus. It usually takes only about 15 minutes and costs no more than ¥ 30 yuan;
